Under Watery Wednesday...

Here are a few older photos that I have taken of a watery theme; some of the local creatures found in local waters...

A Sunflower Star...

A Six Ray Star...

A Moon Jellyfish...

And me meeting a local Aggregate Sea Anenome... awww... :-)

  1. Nice job, especially for shooting through the surface like that. That's a tough shot to get.

  4. Neat photos. Six ray star looks like it's lounging with one arm outstretched.
Thanks for liking my header - I think yours is very good as well - as is your name.

  5. Wonderful water creatures. It seems like you are shaking hands in the last photo. So lovely great shots!

  6. My namesake...the Jellyfish.

So Sarah McLachlan is from the east coast but now resides on the west. Hmmmm...I simply love her music. Did she wear spandex on national tv? For shame if she did. :-)

Your photos were so neat, I mean, on my walk I certainly don't see those things. I live in a woodsy area, I really need to get out there and take some pictures.

I bet you have a nifty little bakery somewhere nearby, that just has the grandest of cupcakes.
Do take a picture if you can find one.

  7. Great post. My fave is the Moon Jellyfish. Spandex?...Wasn't it George Galloway?

  10. Jelly, I don't have a sweet tooth (savory and salty is my thing)... but if I come across cupcakes in my travels I will take a pic! Spandex Sarah... no, no...

Neil, yes, Galloway... stupid, embarrassing Canadian gov't. And I saw those whiskys, or whiskies (whatever) that you mentioned! One was about 600 canadian dollars a bottle! Probably cheaper to fly to Skye and get that freebie dram! lol...

  11. How much is that in quids then? I spotted Talisker in my local supermaket today at 26 quid a bottle. Doubt if I could fly to BC for that! Speaking of Gorgeous George, our paths nearly crossed when I was about 21. I was offered a place at Ruskin College, Oxford, which I didn't take up. Galloway did, and look where he is now! I sometimes wonder what I'd be doing now if I'd made a different decision back then. Life's funny like that eh?

  12. 335 GBP! That was a 30 year old bottle though... The 'regular' Talisker was about 75 CND, so 40 quid. Same size as a bottle of wine. So someone's making a nice profit!

Yeah, life is funny and ooooo how I'd like to have made different decisions... sometimes just for the pure curiousity of it.

You must have had some smarts then? Not implying that you don't now! ;-)

  13. 'some smarts' ? dont' get that. Whats that in English? lol
30 year old Talisker? 335 quid? Bugger that. It's good but not that good!
The regular would do just fine. Easter pressie for yourself?
The people making a nice profit are the Governments with the excise duty they stick on it.
The distillery workers dont even get a free dram these days due to the 'recession'.

  14. Smart arse. ;-) How's that for English!
    :-P

  15. Er ... no. If I was a smart arse I'd have gone to Ruskin! At that time Ruskin was a college dedicated to Trade Unionists and budding politicians. My boss at the time saw me as such. I didn't!

  16. Looking back, would you agree with him now?

  17. No, no regrets. I don't have it in me to be a politician. The degree of self righteousness required is something I lack, thankfully. I could on the other hand make a total prat of myself with remarkable ease. I still have a sneaking admiration for George though. The way he stood up to the US Senate was admirable. Pity about Big Brother!
