Canada Day - Captioned

July 1st is Canada Day, Canada's Birthday, a day during which I avoid public parks like the plague. Being surrounded by a thousand squealing crotch crickets amped on 'free cake' iced with tantrum-inducing red food dye is not my idea of good time. My Canadian beaver and I say 'bah humbug' to all of that and offer the following captioned Canada-ish clip:

  1. Happy Canada Day, Ms TB.

Teeheehee! He made me laugh. Buddy Dole, eh?

I love the way (some) Canadian people pronounce the "ou" sound by the way. Gets a bit annoying when some of them say "eh?" at the end of every dawgawn sentence though. (Sorry i'm easily annoyed.)

Anyway, steer well clear of the park and have a bleacher of a day today.

  2. Oh, Buddy COLE. Not quite as cool a name, but still a funny man.

  4. Hey Naldo, I was on a flight from England to Canada and beside me there was a man and his son who was about 10 years old. It was their first trip to Canada and they seemed strangely obsessed with all things Canadian. I said something to the kid and I apparently ended a sentence with eh? His whole face lit up... "you really are a Canadian!" I felt like a rock star. ;-) But yeah, 'eh?' in excess bothers me too.

Out of the closet? ha! A lesbian friend of mine tried very hard to convince me to come out of a closet that I was not in.

  5. Hey Marnie, Thanks for the wonderful laughs. I posted the Canadian anthem more for the photos but I absolutely love Bobby Gimby's C-a-n-a-d-a Song. You would like it up here...not a celebration in sight just the day off!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
    Smiles
