The definition of creepy.

Nightmare fodder for sale at a vendor's stall along Victoria's Inner Harbour:

  1. Teeheehee. That's what i'd call cool creepy.

I was in a bar in Goa one night where a seriously seedy tourist guy was chatting up women, staring at their breasts and being a utter nuisance.

He tried it with my local female friend, Chim who looked him square in the eye and said, "You know, the worst thing any guy can ever be is creepy, and YOU'RE a creep."

I thought it was a great line. And the guy slunk off out the bar and out our lives. I like to think he had a long hard, think about his behaviour and changed his ways. Hmmm...i wonder.

  3. Wouldn't it be illegal? A call to Trading Standards, me thinks!

  4. What's worst is a breast talker. I worked for an idiot who was on a first name basis with mine. I'd actually duck my head down and 'excuse me for interupting but...'

Neil, they're fake! (the seals I mean, lol!)

  5. Jayne... this is Canada... not exactly a nation friendly to seals.

  6. Oh Thank God for that, on both counts! ;-)
That could've seriously impinged upon my mental picture of the wet suit!

  7. Can only imagine the mental make-up of the clown who created those. What a whack job. Creepy does not even come close to describing it.

BTW the BC election was the first thing I saw on the news today. Are you happy with the outcome....or does it really matter?

  9. I know they are fake, but they are certainly odd looking.

    I prefer the starfish myself.

  11. Creepy is right. I like Naldo's comment. I'll have to remember that line.

  12. J, just to make it clear... the seal heads and the starfish are all fake, you can't eat them. ;-)

Bogey - I wasn't too surprised by the election outcome. Happy or peeved? I'm very ambivalent about BC politics. Elections are a distraction. It doesn't matter who is in political power it's corporations and their economic power who run the show. The upcoming 2010 Olympics (that most people in Vancouver did not support) underscores that perfectly, imo.

What did piss me off is that the referendum on voting reform was defeated... not that I think voting reform REALLY matters in this goat rodeo. I think I'm feeling a wee bit cynical! haha...

  13. I know that seal bashing is allowable in Canada but still, that's not nice.
