Something a bit more up beat, me thinks.
It's Sunday and I feel like confessing something... like my previous posts weren't enough. ;-)
OK. Here goes....
My name in Marnie and I like beat up, old pick-up trucks, like these:
I especially love this old blue Mercury, sitting in the shade. I have a print out of it on my wall. I have no idea why I like it so much but I do and often drive by where it lives just to see it. Silly, eh? :-)
Those r very nice trucks indeed. Unfortunetly very rare in my neck of woods. I think u should travel to Cuba, plenty of em there I presume. And very nice climate also (- hurricane season). Keep on trucking! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd cigars! I don't smoke but I like the smell of them.
ReplyDeleteAnd good music too.
Yeah, I should go to Cuba... too many Canadian there though. ;-)
Hey Ms TB, is your surname Walton?
ReplyDeleteHey Naldo, nope, but my middle name is Jim-Bob.
ReplyDelete;-)
ha - my first thoughts were of the Waltons too. Great piccies.
ReplyDeleteG'night Jim Bob ...
Cool series of shots there! What is that a little camper in the red one?
ReplyDeleteI think the red truck belongs to a farmer who hauls veggies into a local farmer's market. I can only imagine what his tractor looks like!
ReplyDeleteFantastic trucks. I visit Houston a couple of times a year, and I always hire a Truck.....its sad but very true !!
ReplyDeleteThose ones are a real piece of Americana/Canadacana.
I love the old vehicles, they have so much character. I am always sad when I find them abandoned in the bush all alone. I have only owned trucks in my life and most of them have been old! There really easy to fix if you can get parts. Have a great week Marnie!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and smiles
You gotta love trucks that you can just beat the shit out of 'em and they still look forward to more. I actually saw a couple of beaters like those heading into the country. Not sure, but I also think a lot of the people driving 'em were related to each other too. There must be a lot of drag in that old Mercury with the backboard the way it is. It's nice that you have a hobby there Marnie.
ReplyDeleteI drive a pick up truck, although it is alot younger than these.
ReplyDeleteI love the feeling of behind the wheel of my pickup. And it is a stick shift, so that makes me twice as cool.
;-)
